SVEINN EMIL GILLIS It is with heavy hearts that on November 10, 2014 our Dad and Afi, Sveinn Emil Gillis, aged 95 years, has left us in search of bigger lakes and bigger fish to catch. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Eddystone Community Centre, Eddystone, MB, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. A private family interment will be held in the Reykjavik Cemetery. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOME Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072 1-866-323-3593

  • I only met our Uncle Sveinn a few times when visiting family in Canada. Our mom, Anna Ingiborg, was the only one who emigrated to the USA and lived in Southern California.   • I met your Dad a couple of times as a kid....My Mom was his sister Anna. We lived (and I still do) in California so we didn't see much of each other...Sad all the Gillis's are now gone....My mom Anna died in 06 at 95 yrs old. She had a good life!
