PEGGIE SQUIRES TRAINER (nee KEMP) With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Peggie Trainer, on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Patrick (Liz), Carol Parry (Keith), Michael (Karen), and Glenn; daughter-in-law Darlene; grandchildren, Derek, Danielle, Tracy Leach (Mike), Erin Steinborn (Mike) Phillip (Charmaine), Ryan (Gabriella), Megan, Kyle, and Evan; great-granddaughters Elliotte and Pari Steinborn. Peggie was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1985, her sister Edna Parris in 2005, and her son Shaun in 2012. Peggie was born on January 27, 1921 in Eastbourne, England and immigrated to Canada in 1946 as a young English war bride and resided in East Kildonan. After Don's passing, Mom moved to an apartment in Sarina Towers where she enjoyed the numerous activities and social gatherings. Peggie loved to travel and visited Hawaii and Palm Springs several times. She also travelled extensively with Fehr Way Tours for several years often as the tour escort. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for the kind and loving care they provided for Mom. Their kindness and warmth will be remembered. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggie's memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of your choice. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My condolences go out to the Trainer family on the passing of their mother. Having lived on Sydney avenue from the 1960s to the early 1980s, where my family owned a grocery store for almost 10 years. I remember the Trainers. My sister Cathy was friends with Carol. On occasion I do see Michael and Glenn. Their mom`s passing brings me back to a time and evokes memories that are forever etched in my mind. - Posted by: Stan Carbone (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2014
