DENNIS RIVARD June 10, 1949 - November 20, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son and grandfather, Dennis Rivard. He leaves behind: his loving wife of 45 years, Lorraine, daughters: Connie and Lisa (Yvan); grandchildren: Karly, Haley, Garen and Hayden (Colin); his mother Albertine Rivard, his brothers and sisters: Andy (Heather), Lucille, Yvette (Marc), Amie (Lorrie), Evelyn (Gilbert), Lorraine (Bob) and Claude. Also left to mourn are his extended family, friends and the RM of Tache fire department. Dennis was predeceased by his father Alexander. Forever remembered. A celebration of Dennis' life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Seine River Banquet Hall, 80 Arena Rd., Ste. Anne, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis' memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

  • Dearest family, we loved Dennis very much and will miss him too. We have fond memories that will comfort us, as we know you do too. Our favourite memory is of our first Christmas together. He welcomed the three of us unconditionally, made us feel at ease & helped us tease Claude! His humor, kindness, generosity and beautiful smile will be sadly missed. We hold all of you, especially Mom/Grandma, Lorraine, Lisa (Yvon), Connie & the grandchildren in our thoughts & prayers. Family gatherings will never be the same without him. I know Andy will be lost for awhile without him as I know we all will be. Hugs & prayers to you and Heather... Extra prayers are being said for all the grandchildren- Carley, Haley, Garen & Hayden- your grandfather loved you very much and he was so proud of all of you... It meant the world to him to be your grandfather, hero & protector and to share in your lives... Cycling & playing with you and watching you grow .... Everyone could see and feel that when he talked about you & watching him with each of you. His family is his whole world. It was evident in his love & actions toward all of you and your parents & grandma. His legacy of valuing & honouring family, his generous community spirit, his kindness & thoughtfulness, the respect & dignity he afforded others is a treasure this family can be proud of & carry on...
