I moved into the neighborhood in the mid 90's, as a single parent with my 2 children. You can tell that Lydia was a country girl at one time as she was easy to talk to. I think our friendship started when I began having garage sales and Lydia would pop in to shop and then come back to have a coffee with me and watch the sale continue. After my children left home, I spent many an evening having a coffee, tea or juice with her as we would chat about our daily and past life experiences. She would ask me to come over and watch the Fifth Estate with her, and we would end up chatting instead, or commenting on the show as if we were the experts. My memory of Lydia is her smile, her laugh, and how good she was to me. That will be in my heart forever. I will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Gladys Cassidy (Neighborhood friend - previously at 239 Perth Avenue) on: Dec 04, 2014

I met Lydia through my dear friend Gladys. I used to travel from Brandon to visit Gladys and always enjoyed seeing Lydia when I was in visiting. She was a great lady, loved her stories and her her sense of humor. She will be truly missed. Sending my Deepest Sympathy. Sandra Moyer. - Posted by: Sandra Moyer (Friend) on: Dec 02, 2014
