Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY EDWARD HIRST Harry Edward Hirst died peacefully in Carman Memorial Hospital on December 8, 2014 at 8:20 a.m. in Carman, MB at the age of 94. Harry is survived by his wife Betty, aged 84, son Ronald, son-in-law Randy Cloutier, grandchildren Crystal Evans and Michael Evans, and three beautiful great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving daughter Helen Cloutier, aged 52. Harry was born on August 2, 1920 in Somerset, MB to Francis and Ethel Hirst. He graduated from Manitou High School in 1938. He married Betty Dunn of Somerset, on July 7, 1951. Harry worked at the Dominion Bridge in Winnipeg during the Second World War. Afterwards Harry/Betty took over the family farm in Somerset and later sold the farm and moved to Carman in August 1977. Harry was also a mechanic, and crop insurance adjuster. He believed in hard work and helping all his family and friends. He was a very meticulous person with any undertaking. It is Harry's last wishes that a family graveside service be held at Thomson "In the Park". In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carman Hospital Palliative Care, Box 610, Carman, MB R0G 0J0. May he rest in peace.
