Lill was born to William and Annie Mae Brown at Durban, MB, in 1910. She and her nine siblings were raised in Durban and Pine Falls MB. It was at Pine Falls that she met William (Bill) John Rousseau. They were married in 1932. They lived in Bissett, MB, where they raised their four children and participated in numerous church and community events. In 1978 they moved to Hamilton House in Winnipeg, MB. Lill moved to Glenboro Personal Care Home in 2007. She marveled at the commitment of many former Bissett residents who formed a Bissett Historical Society so that the rich history of the community would be preserved. Lill is survived by her four children, Gwen (Ivan) Jefferies of Glenboro, MB, Joan Fox of Langenburg, SK, Claude Rousseau of Victoria, BC, Duncan Rousseau (friend Elva) of Winnipeg, MB, ten grandchildren, Jodine (Jaret), Danette (Gord), Cameron (Sheri), Ron (Wanda), Marilyn (Cliff), Leanne (Brian), Sherrell, Barb (Carl), Carol (Mel) and Wanda (Denis), 22 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Deni Joy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. It was always a pleasure to have you in my life Grannie. I always liked to have heard the stories that you have told us about how it used to be back then. My grannie always looked her best no matter what the occasion was, with her hair done and her nails painted. With her being 104 we knew that sooner or later she will leave us to be with great-grandpa and my grandma and everyone else in the family. She will be missed but we all know that now she I will not have to suffer. We love and miss you grannie! You will always be in our hearts and we will always remember you in good memories. - Posted by: Brenna (great-granddaughter ) on: Jan 01, 2015

Though Lil lived a long life, it is still sad to see the end of an era. No doubt her absence will be felt for some time but her memory will live on. Our heartfelt sympathy and love to all the family.
