We are so saddened to hear we have lost Vi here on earth, but the Lord has called her home. We will truly miss the times we had together. Vi was the nicest, sweetest more generous giving person we have ever had the pleasure to meet and know. We always had a smile on our faces after spending time with Vi and Gerry. She is truly an "Angel". Our deepest sympathies to Gerry, Chris and Jon-Luc. - Posted by: Lynne and Gordon Richter (Friends) on: Dec 21, 2014

So sorry to hear of your loss. Vi will always be remembered by our family. She was rhe best neighbour we have ever had. I enjoyed the time spent with our boys jumping the fence to play together and the many cups of tea shared. Her wisdom has helped me in many different ways as a young mother. Truly an angel among us and not watching over us from Heaven. Love to you all. - Posted by: Joanne and Ron Colliou (Once neighbours) on: Dec 21, 2014

Many years ago Vi had us single teachers over for a supper and movie night. She had us dress up and she made a wonderful meal and had some nice young single guys serve us (set up? :) We then went to the theatre room and watched a movie with snacks and all. She called the four of us girls princesses whenever she saw us. We said she was our queen :) Vi was always so thoughtful and always knew how to make you feel special. She worked with a lot of kids at SCA and they loved her dearly as did the staff. Vi had a heart of gold and will be missed. My sympathies, love and prayers to the family. - Posted by: Tracey Pauls (Past co-worker at SCA) on: Dec 20, 2014

My heart goes out to Vi's husband and her boys. Christian was just a baby when I met Vi. In 1985 she was my labor coach when I gave birth to my own son. The last time we saw each other was at "One Heart Winnipeg". It was so wonderful to see her that day...we embraced and said we'd get together soon. I am so very happy that she had a solid relationship with the Lord and we will get together again. - Posted by: Kathi Bisson (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2014

Growing up in Saint Boniface, the Hinces lived 2 doors down from my house on De La Morenie st. Chris was my best friend for many years growing up, and the Hinces welcomed me into their home and are among the warmest and nicest people I have had the privilege of knowing. My family and I are deeply saddened after hearing of this loss, and send our most heartfelt condolences. - Posted by: Derek Balcaen (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2014
