MAY VIOLETTE MARCOTTE It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother May Violette Marcotte on December 19, 2014 at Chalet Malouin in St. Malo, Manitoba May Violette was born on May 13, 1919, in Dufrost, Manitoba. She was the oldest child of Arthur and Rose-Alma (Rouillard) Rivard. On September the 20, 1939 she married Paul Marcotte and together they farmed and raised their family in the community of St. Malo. She is survived by her children, Guy (Diane), Donald (Arleen), Richard (Louise), Claude (Jeannette), Jocelyne (John), Murielle, Rene (Poppy), thirty-eight grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Yvette Arnal and Fernande Morin (Victor). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul in 1998 and her parents Arthur and Rose-Alma Rivard. The family also wishes to express their thanks to family and friends for their support, devotion and care during mother's illness. Also, the family gratefully acknowledges the spiritual support received from Father Dominic LaFleur. Mass of the resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 23, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Malo Roman Catholic Church, with Father Dominic LaFleur officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the home care and Palliative Care Unit in St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel 1-204-346-1030 or 1-888-454-1030
