LUCILLE YVETTE CONRAD
Born: Feb 23, 1922
Date of Passing: Dec 21, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE YVETTE CONRAD (nee GAUTHIER) On Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Foyer Valade (Actionmarguerite (Saint-Vital), Lucille Conrad, passed away at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters, husband, Norbert and a grandchild, mom is survived by six children, Allan/Turc (Joan) Conrad, Cliff (Suzanne) Conrad, Ken Conrad, Dale (Rachel Johnson) Conrad, Karen Conrad and Lynne (Mike) Fisher; eleven grandchildren, Jeff, Sandy, Cory, Kelly, Renée, Shane, Amanda, Jordan, Craig, Samantha and Tyler; seven great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Mom was born on February 23, 1922, in St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg with her parents at the age of 18. She worked during the Second World War at a factory in Toronto and returned home to Winnipeg to marry dad in 1948. They raised their family in St. Boniface where she grew the best tomatoes going (although her brother Henri came in a close second). And no one could top mom's Christmas shortbread cookies, stuffing and her roast suppers every Sunday. The family wishes to give a special thank you to all the staff at Foyer Valade for the wonderful care, especially to the staff on the 2nd floor for the kindness and devotion in her last few months. With mom's wishes in mind, there will be no formal funeral services held, however, an intimate gathering will be held by her immediate family to say goodbye. There's a place I've never seen, beyond the world we know. A place I've only heard of, but someday hope to go..be at peace now mom.
