Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHANNI LISSI KOHLI (nee HEIDELMANN) Suddenly, yet peacefully in her sleep, the evening of December 19, 2014, Hanni passed away at the Poseidon Personal Care Home at the age of 83. Hanni was predeceased by her parents Paul and Frieda Heidelmann and her other older siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving husband Hubert, daughter Maureen, grandson Daniel, sister-in-law Hildegard, nephew Perry and family and various relatives in Germany. Hanni was born and raised in East Germany and married Hubert in West Germany in 1952. She then followed her husband to Canada in 1955 to start a new life. Hanni was an accomplished seamstress who wowed many a client with her beautiful and expert work, and in the old days of Germany would also model selected articles of clothing for the purpose of alteration to fit and purchase for the client. Hanni's favorite sport became tennis and she became an excellent and enthusiastic player in a short time and enjoyed the game for many years with her husband and tennis loving friends. Hanni also loved to travel, travelling to southern destinations in the winter with her husband, and having never forgotten her homeland of Germany, would also often go visit friends and relatives she had left behind there. Hanni was an amazing mom and wife who loved to cook great traditional German meals and bake amazing German treats for her friends and family to enjoy. We will greatly miss our much loved mom, Oma and wife! She will be in our hearts forever! The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Personal Care Home for their attentive care and love for our Hanni. A memorial service to honour Hanni's life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception will follow.
