  • We just heard of Al's passing this morning. We had many great years with Al at Silver Falls. He was not only the best neighbour one could ever ask for, he was also the most genuine friend one could want. Al had too many wonderful qualities to list and we are honored to have been fortunate enough to know him. Michelle, Christi, Ashley & Jalin may you take some comfort in knowing that we are with you in Thought and in Prayer. May he rest now. - Posted by: Tim & Mary-Ann Campbell (Friends) on: Dec 28, 2014

  • My condolences to the family. I have such fond memories of Mr. Desloges. He would bring Michelle and I happy meals from McDonalds and had great times at Gull Lake. He was a good dad. Big hugs Michelle and Christy. May your faith sustain you at this difficult time. Donna - Posted by: Donna Chonstkewich (childhood friend to Michelle Desloges) on: Dec 28, 2014

  • I met Alain in the 60's when he was dating my sister Isabel, Michelle and Christy's Mother. We were all hippies in those days. Alain's hair was past his shoulders. Long hair was not common back then and my father used to call him Jesus. Alain accepted my Dad's teasing and gave back in kind. He and Isabel added our sweet Michelle and Christy to the family, lucky us. Many years have passed since then. I am proud to have Alain as part of our family. He could always add a ray of sunshine to any situation. Alain's family has grown considerably since then. It was good to reconnect with Alain last January and hear about his four daughters. Then he spoke about how special Lisa was, how natural their connection, how the children and everyone fit together. Next his love of country living, his plans for the land and ignoring the doctors orders in that regard (that was his way). Alain lived his life exactly the way he wanted to. Lisa, my heart aches for you. I am so grateful that Alain had you in his life. Children, grandchildren, stepchildren I am so sorry for your loss. He loved and was proud of all of you. Alain is missed. His laughter will ring forever in our hearts. - Posted by: Anne Holm (friend, former sister in'law) on: Dec 28, 2014
