Aunt Flo was our mother's older sister by two years. During the war years, they both worked at D.I.L. making small munitions & bombs for the war effort. My mother liked the navy & met a sailor by name of Fred MacDonald whom she married & Aunt Flo met an Air Force guy by name of Garden West whom she married. They lived together in flats & enjoyed going to dances. When Aunt Flo came to visit in Toronto, they would get together again. We all want to say that we were pleased to know that Aunt Flo did not suffer at the end and would like to send our condolences to her family. Bless you Aunt Flo & tell Mom we are all doing just fine! This is to my eldest sister, Flo, who helped bring me up after our Mother died when I was 2 yrs old. Flo, you have always been an inspiration to me, loving & kind & a mother figure to me while growing up. Ken & I were lucky to spend quality time with you & the family a year ago on our visit to Selkirk. We will miss that bright smile of yours & watching you sing along with the accordion player to "Lady of Spain". You were always a special lady & dressed like one, with your hair always done to perfection. We will all miss you, but Heaven has gained an angel & you are now joining some of your family who have gone before us. We know you will be watching over us in between "Bingo Games", if they have it there? Gord is waiting for you & probably saying "What took you so long?" Aged to perfection takes some time & you had a good long life. May God keep you Flo in his loving arms & give you rest. You will always be remembered as a loving Sister & Aunt by our family.
