FRANK SYPOSH It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Frank at the Concordia Hospital on December 25, 2014. Frank leaves to mourn his loving wife Rita of 64 years, his children Rick (Jonelle), Peggy (Clay), Vivian (Bob), Greg (Burnadee) and Vince (Reta), six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister Jean Thiessen and many nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Winnipeg on August 2, 1925. Near the end of the Second World War he enlisted in the Army Medical Corp. After the war he obtained his journeyman machinist ticket. He worked at Canadian Bronze for 31 years and retired as machine shop supervisor. His retirement was spent in Grunthal where he and Rita started a woodworking business. They moved back to Winnipeg after he was diagnosed with Parkinson. In his last years he was challenged with many medical conditions. In spite of his failing health he retained his love of sports, fishing, music, drawing and game playing. The family would like to thank the staff and all of Frank's friends at Misericordia and Concordia Place. A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinsons Society Manitoba, 7 - 414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2. Condolences may be sent to www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca. Frank was a good man and will be sadly missed. He is at peace now and looking down on your family. I remember many family visits to your house on Sunday's with my family. And especially the visits with Frank and the kids to see Frank's dad at his house and barber shop. Please accept my regrets. - Posted by: Marlene ( Desautels ) Laba (Friend) on: Jan 04, 2015

We had the great pleasure of getting to know Frank at Misericordia Interim Care. He became a new found friend and frequently joined our family for conversation and cribbage, both at which he excelled. He was a very good singer, and quickly, the trio of Al, Frank and John was formed, performing for their own enjoyment and upon request at any Misericordia event - their rendition of "Down By The Old Mill Stream" brought down the house! We feel lucky to have crossed paths with Frank, and he will be missed and fondly remembered. Our sincere condolences to Rita and Family. It was an honour to care for Frank. He was a lovely man with beautiful eyes and a wonderful singing voice! You could often hear him singing from the elevator! I am thinking of his wonderful wife during this difficult time. Please take care. - Posted by: Caregiver () on: Dec 31, 2014

It wasn't till much later in his life that I found out that Uncle Frank loved to sing and that he loved to entertain. Always a quiet but cheerful person, I loved being with him. I send love and warmth to his entire family, but especially to my dear aunt Rita. - Posted by: Claire Dusome (Niece) on: Dec 30, 2014

Dear Peggy and Clay, words are not going to help ease your sorrow, but time and knowing that your Dad is now healthy, happy and looking over his wonderful family will give you some comfort now. Take the time to remember all the fun times your Dad has now stored in your memory bank. Cindy - Posted by: Cindy Miller (Friend of Peggy and Clay) on: Dec 30, 2014

Uncle Frank was a very nice man. Over the years he often teased me about the time I visited and when I left mistakenly wore his shoes home. He will be missed. - Posted by: Louis Boisjoli (Nephew) on: Dec 30, 2014
