Born: Feb 03, 1925
Date of Passing: Dec 28, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE PEGGY LAVICH (nee KULBATSKI) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louise Lavich, one month short of her 90th birthday on the morning of December 28, 2014 with her family by her side. Louise was predeceased by her husband Joe (1999); her infant son Michael (1960), her parents, seven sisters and two brothers. Mom was born February 3, 1925 in Melville, SK and was the youngest of 10 children. She was the last surviving member of that family. She married Joe in 1945 and they were together for 54 years before his passing in 1999. Louise will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Leon (Margaret), Dave (Carole), Connie (Elwood), Bob (Aline), Betty (Dave), Lillian (Guy), Bernie (Lorraine), Bernadette (Tim), Teresa (Larry), Laura (Greg), Mark (Kathleen), Joe (Dianne), her 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply. We will remember Mom for her dedication to us. She was the backbone of our family that cared, nourished and guided us throughout our lives. Her unfailing support is something that we will always cherish and will miss the most. Mom also had a great love for her cat Jo-Jo who gave her untold amounts of comfort, fun and companionship. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kind and compassionate treatment. A funeral mass in celebration of Louise's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2 at St. Bernadette's Church with Father Fred Olds presiding. Respecting Louise's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Louise can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba Research Fund, 105 - 500 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3X1. Arrangements entrusted to Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 233-4949; toll free 1-888-233-4949.

So sorry for the loss of your mother. I will always remember Aunt Louise for her endless smile and twinkle in her eye. She raised a wonderful loving family and will be missed by all of us. One of the best memories of her and Uncle Joe was their trip to Windsor in David's little MG They were like two giddy teenagers driving around in that little car. Memories are what will always keep our loved ones near. Love Barb & Frank and family - Posted by: Barb Ouellette (Niece) on: Jan 03, 2015
