Dear Mr. and Mrs. Demarchi, We recently heard of your mother's passing. My mother Eileen sang in the Blessed Sacrament choir at your mother's funeral. My husband Michael worked for the orderly service in the 1990s and he frequently went to work with your mother. He loved her so much. She always treated him with so much respect and dignity and she took time to get to know him on a personal level. Michael often told me about his special chats with Mrs. Demarchi. When I listened, I made the connection that she was the mother of one of my favorite teachers growing up. Mr. Demarchi, way back in grade seven, you were my homeroom and phys.ed teacher. I thought the world of you. You always treated the students so well and you brought so much happiness to the school by your enthusiasm and your dedication. Not hard to see that such fine people such as yourselves touch the lives of many that you have encountered. Thought it was an important time to share this with you and have you know that you and your family and in our prayers. - Posted by: Michael and Bonnie(nee Vermeylen) Slobodian (friend of your mother and student of Frank) on: Jan 04, 2015

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember sitting at her kitchen table with Shiarra. She had a special way to stir the pasta in the pot! A very loving grandmother. May you find peace at this difficult time. - Posted by: Hayley (Friend) on: Jan 03, 2015

Frankie, I have fond memories of your Mom and the time when I was young spent at your home on Pandora. I still remember the "nick name", she call me. She was a very kind person and loving Mother. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the Celebration of her life as I winter in Texas. My sincere condolences to you and your families. - Posted by: Keith Watts (Friend) on: Jan 01, 2015

Peggy and I met your mom and Dad a long time ago when we visited you in Transcona. Your mom was a most gracious hostess....I remember she made us a real "Italian" pizza to snack on. Please accept our condolences....we haven't seen one another for a long, long time but I have never forgotten you and Vicki. You were great educators in The Pas. - Posted by: Dr. George Takashima (friend and former colleague of Frank and Vicki) on: Jan 01, 2015
