Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLEN MAY BRANAN May 23, 1923 - December 19, 2014 May was born in Winnipeg to Nellie and Jack Branan and was the eldest of five girls. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Phyllis Jeffery and Dorothy Newman. She has left to mourn her two remaining sisters Iris Martin of Vancouver and Birdie Archer (Frank) of Calgary, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Despite many physical frailties, May lived a full and successful life with courage, determination and independence. She was the family "historian" and kept track of all family members and neighbours, with knowledge of ages, relationships, siblings and offspring and remembered them all! May lived her final years at Fred Douglas Lodge and asked that memorial donations be made there in her memory. May passed peacefully on December 19 and a private Celebration of her life was held at the Chapel in the Lodge. A committal service will be held at a later date. Auntie May---- you will always be missed. I remember all the Sunday dinners over the years and your independent spirit. You were never a quitter, always tried everything, and your life soared because of it. Your have made it home to your mother and your sisters. Love you forever.
