Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN AGATHA VOTH (nee MITCHELL) Susan Agatha Voth, (Mitchell) passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital due to a respiratory illness on January 1, 2015 with her husband Henry and a number of close friends at her side. Susan was born on September 17, 1947 to Joseph and Sally Mitchell in St. Stephen New Brunswick, the youngest of five siblings. Her early life was lived in St. Stephen, attending local school, enjoying her immediate and extended family. Sue enjoyed and excelled at most sports; this often filled her life with joy taken from her by the passing of her mother at an early age. After high school Susan took her R.N. training in St John, NB a dream of hers since childhood. Shortly after graduation she moved to Vancouver BC to continue her career. Susan loved nursing and even after retirement she was always a nurse at heart. While in Vancouver Susan received Jesus Christ as her personal savior and went on to live victorious Christian life till her savior called her home on January 1, 2015. In Vancouver she met and married Al Tamburi whom she had met through her church, Al was an engineer. They then moved to Winnipeg and later to Balmoral. Susan and Al were privileged to be joined by their children Ryan and Danelda soon afterwards. Al preceded her in 1988 in an aircraft mishap, however Susan and the children bravely stayed on the farm by themselves. In 1997 Susan married Henry Voth and continued their country life style. The two of them had a happy rewarding life of work, service, travel, parenting and especially enjoying their granddaughter Emma. On December 18 Susan was hospitalized with an irreversible respiratory disease. We will miss her dearly. She is preceded by her first husband Al, her parents, a half sister, and a number of extended family and in-law family members. She is survived by her husband Henry, children Ryan and Danelda, step son Ken, and granddaughter Emma, siblings Nancy, Peter, and Mary, and a large extended family. There will be viewing at MacKenzie Funeral Home (433 Main Street) Stonewall from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2015 a family interment at Erinview Anglican Church cemetery (west end of highway # 415 west of Teulon), and a memorial service at New Life Church at 2:30 p.m., highway 67 in Stonewall MB. In lieu flowers donations can be made to Silver Bay Bible Camp available at the church. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME STONEWALL 204467-2525 mackhome@mts.net

She was my best friend and my best buddy, she gave the best hugs and kisses ever. She always made me have a big smile every time I saw her, I still think and cry about her every once in a while, I even talk to her even though she can’t answer me but I know she’s listening. gone but never forgotten. I love you all the way to the moon and heaven and back<3 - Posted by: emma (grandma ) on: Mar 24, 2021

I met Susan through her first husband AL Tamura. I was Al's little brother from big brothers. I was around 12 at the time. The three of us spent many incredible times together from camping around Vancouver to building their home on the farm in Manitoba (some of the best meals I ever ate). I will always remember the light that shone from her. The way she made everyone feel loved and cared for.She taught me things about life that I needed to know even if they weren't always easy. At the time I didn't have a home and on my visits she made me feel like I had one. She treated me like a son and for that I am forever grateful. She was intelligent, truthful ,strong with a generous and playful spirit. She was an inspiration in her faith and devotion to God's word and inspired me to know him also. I still use the bible she gave me and I read the inscription she wrote in it all the time. Her words , her voice still clear as if she had just spoke them and my heart filled with joy and love every time I do. She is a role model for me and my family to live up to. I will miss her for now but I look forward to seeing her again." I will be there Susan". - Posted by: Michael wong (friend) on: Jan 24, 2015

Although our paths did not cross often, Susan always had a warm greeting, a smile and some news to share. I remember her warm welcome to the district and her practical advice on farm/rural living (much appreciated by this transplanted city gal). She had a joyful spirit & love of the Lord that inspired all privileged to know her. John and I send our sincere sympathies to Henry and the family. I am extremely saddened to hear of Susan's sudden passing. I met her only once at a cousin reunion in Calgary in the summer of 2013. I could see immediately what a beautiful person Susan was and how big her heart was. Henry, you have always been someone that I always see with a smile on your face and a joke in your pocket. I can see how you two were brought together and I am so thrilled that you found happiness again. My love to you Henry. - Posted by: Elaine Keim (Henry's cousin) on: Jan 07, 2015

I have to thank God that we met and even became good friends. You were such a sincere and kind person, who treated me as if I was your family. I miss the time when we hung out and dined together. I remember one time we went to have Chinese food and you asked me to order something special. When the chicken feet that I ordered was served, your eyes widened and you said 'Oh! That's really too special! But never mind! Let's try it!' We finished the chicken feet in laughter and you said 'very yummy... But no more!' Susan, I miss you and love you. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven! - Posted by: Irene Peng (friend) on: Jan 06, 2015

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Susan's passing and so suddenly it seems. I went to school with Susan and cheered her team on at St. Stephen High. I knew her to be smiling all the time and a very vibrant girl. RIP dear girl. It seems like yesterday we were in school, I am sorry I hadn't seen Susan since high school. I didn't know she was a nurse. How wonderful. - Posted by: Barbara Johnston Dougherty (Friend) on: Jan 06, 2015

I did not know Sue well, yet each time we came in contact she greeted me as though I was a dear friend. She exuded true love and caring, and there was no denying her love of Jesus which was communicated in both word and deed. The last memory I have of her was a very comforting hug shortly after my Dad passed away last spring. I can still see her genuine and reassuring smile, and that is how I will remember her. - Posted by: Joye Creaser (friend) on: Jan 06, 2015

I am so sad I cannot be with you all. I am deeply shocked & saddened. I have fond memories of Aunt Susan taking me to fairs & exhibitions. She gave me a really cool tennis racket which I was very proud of. As well, she would find many trinkets that she'd share while travelling. I remember attending her wedding to Al in Vancouver in 1980! What a fun. I also remember meeting Ryan & Danelda for the first time. She loved them both & had fun sharing her love for sports with them both. My last visit with Susan & Henry was during a Mother's Day dinner in St. Andrews, NB. It was a lovely occasion & I will remember it fondly. Love to my family & the friends who loved my Aunt Susan. May you rest well. Susan and I were great friends all through high school and played on the same athletic teams, though she was always much better than I! I haven't seen her since then as I moved to Australia but her passing has deeply affected me as she was such a wonderful friend and truly good person. I'm sorry I will never see her again. My deepest sympathy to her family. - Posted by: Lorna Wall nee Stafford (St Stephen High School friend and team mate) on: Jan 06, 2015

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. She was a great lady and a true friend to my mom. After my mom's passing Sue gave me an ornament she had made in memory of my mom. I make sure this ornament is on my Christmas tree every year and will continue to do so. My dad (Bob Appleyard) passes along his condolences as well. - Posted by: Lorna Baker (Appleyard) (daughter of bus driver (Bob Appleyard) and mother (Doreen Appleyard - Balmoral morning curling)) on: Jan 05, 2015
