  • Kind is the first word that comes to mind when you think of Gloria. But she was more than that as many have related, hard working, dedicated, committed, loyal but most of all she was a friend. My friend that I knew would jump to be by my side if I needed her. Our families have been linked in friendship for so many years that sometimes I thought we had to be related! And then we were when a McLeod married a Sellen! Wasn't that a fun wedding Sandra! Was that 50 years ago! My heart breaks for you Sandra and Larry because she was all of that and more to you. Heather I am so sorry for your loss. You were the joy in your Mom's life the minute you were born. Your lovely Mom has gone to be with her Lord and we are left with her beautiful memory. Big hugs to all of you. Linda Rigaux(McLeod) - Posted by: Linda Rigaux (Family Friend) on: Jan 09, 2015

  • Gloria came into our life when my current child care worker opted for a change of work and provided me with Gloria's name. Rachel was two when she first came and Stephanie was there since birth. The joke was always that Gloria was going to retire from child care when Stephanie was in school. Stephanie is graduating grade 12 this year. Gloria has always been a wonderful friend and another mother to my girls. She gave them order to their day, taught them manners and gave them unconditional love. As the girls got older, they continued to go to Auntie's after school as they enjoyed that much more than busing it to an empty house until I got home from work. Gloria got them both involved in helping out with the other younger kids and some household chores. I am so happy that both Rachel and Stephanie stopped by to visit with Gloria on Dec. 22nd and I hope Gloria realizes how much we all love her. - Posted by: Debbie, Rachel and Stephanie Parisien (Parent and long term members of the "Auntie" club) on: Jan 07, 2015
