Happy to be returning to my roots to celebrate the life of my last Auntie. She was my first feminist role model, back when women didn't work. If I close my eyes enough to blur the vision, I can see her there - what a powerhouse - her right wrist on her hip, standing ever so slightly forward, her gesturing beverage stirring itself, giving What For. I can't help but think of the Truman quote, "I never gave anybody hell! I just told the truth and they thought it was hell." - Posted by: Sandi Sikora (Niece) on: Jan 14, 2015
