JOHN HLATKEY March 28, 1931 - January 11, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a kind and gentle man. Left to mourn John's passing are his son, Brian (Janice); daughter Brenda; grandson Ryan (Jen); great-grandson Hunter; his loving partner Florence and her children Frances (Henry), Anne (Ken), Stefan (Betty), Holly (Tom), Wanda (Harold); Tracy (Duane) and their families; nieces and nephews. John was the youngest of a large family born in Stead, Manitoba. He was a hard worker at an early age and retired from the garment industry in 1996. John had many pastimes. He enjoyed fishing on the banks of the Red River, watching and listening to all sports, as well as taking long walks and feeding the squirrels and birds along the way. He also enjoyed his visits to McPhillips Street Station. He will be lovingly remembered and will remain in our hearts forever. In keeping with his wishes, a private service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel Crematorium, 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB 204.586.8668, in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com
