Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • A privilege to have met you and to have been able to spend a fantastic 2 weeks getting to know you. We thank you for opening up your home to us and the children and making us feel so welcome. Some memories have been made that will not be forgotten. It was so lovely to hear all your stories from over the years and I know Kurt loved spending time with you watching the cookery programmes when we stayed. It is such a sad loss that we only got to meet you the once but so glad we did. RIP - Posted by: Cayne and Chantelle (Nephew and Niece) on: Jan 21, 2015

  • My dad, now you have gone on to rest without pain and suffering. MY memories of you will be of all the outdoor adventures, our ski-doo trip to the sled sheds up highway 6, nights around a fire, polishing off a 60 of Jack Daniels with Mike, and many many more memories. My love for my father will remain as it always was, in my heart. I want to thank his wife Mary for being there and taking care of him as hard as it was, and her sons who helped out with his care, in his battle with cancer. His grandchildren will miss him dearly, may you rest in a hunter's paradise, and you're going to be missed by many. I hope you and your son Richard Jr. are now together, and watch over all the family still here on mother earth. x0x0 - Posted by: Jessie (Daughter) on: Jan 20, 2015

  • We had many great hunting & fishing adventures. Also the nights the four of us playing cards into the wee hours & eating snacks like oysters, sardines, & onions. Our sincere condolences MARY & family. - Posted by: george & emma mason (long time friends) on: Jan 19, 2015

  • I knew Richard for many years but probably only actually spent two or three months with him. A generous and friendly guy but nobody's pushover, he was a great hunter and fisherman and a lover of the outdoors. Unwell for many years, he came out of hospital , (complete with oxygen bottle and tubes) just for the day last September to attend our wedding in Winnipeg. I feel priviledged to have known Richard, the world is a much poorer place now. - Posted by: Tony Gardner, Avril Gardner (Brother-in-law, Sister-in-law) on: Jan 18, 2015
