Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryG. PATRICIA FARQUHAR (nee FERGUSON) March 17, 1918 - January 10, 2015 Pat Farquhar lived a full and amazing life, in her 96 years she left little to be accomplished. Surrounded by her loving family Pat passed the morning of January 10, 2015. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Charlie, of 64 years, her father George Ferguson, mother Mary (Lucas), and all 11 siblings. She was an exquisite lady, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Her memory lives on through her daughter Laurie (Bruce Wardrope), son Bill, and granddaughter Chelsea Wardrope. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Richard, and the wealth of friends she made along the way. Mom was raised on a farm in Ponoka, Alberta but lived most of her life in Edmonton. She spent summers in Matlock, Manitoba at her cottage and her last 18 months in Winnipeg, to be closer to family. The piano was her passion. Mom was a talented musician with a special gift, she could play any song after hearing it once. She was convinced anyone could sing along to her playing as long as she could find their key. Many singers were accompanied by Mom at the piano, especially her buddy Helen at the Devonshire in Edmonton. On turning 50 she started a band The Variety Four , and traveled the legion circuit with Dad as her roadie. Her kitchen table was always filled with fabulous baked goods, great conversation, and folks of all ages. Mom's special way to console a friend was to leave a white rose at their door. A true lady right to the end of her days, dressed to the nines, permed, and nails done. Our family would like to thank caregivers Marge and Melissa in Edmonton, staff in Winnipeg at: Deer Lodge Rehabilitation Centre, Harmony Court, Victoria Hospital (especially those on the 3rd floor), and lastly at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home who made Mom's last days comfortable. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness for someone who needs it. Compliment them, deliver a rose, share a smile, or sing them a song in memory of Mom. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
