Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTANNIS MARIE BAZILEWICH June 14, 1977 - January 11, 2015 Where I have gone I am not so small... My soul is as wide as the world is tall I have gone to answer the call...the call Of the one who takes care and loves us all Where ever you look you will find me there, in the heart of a rose In the strength of a prayer, on butterfly wings...on wings of my own To you I am gone...But I am never alone, for I am Home! Suddenly at the young age of 37, Tannis Marie passed into God's hands. Tannis was a beautiful spirit who loved life and lived life as best she could with the adversities she endured on her earthly journey. Tannis brought much joy to all who knew her. We will miss her laughter, kindness, thoughtfulness and especially our Sunday suppers and BBQs, Tannis you will always be our sweet, precious little girl, forever loved and deeply missed. You will remain in our hearts forever. Left to grieve Tannis' passing are her parents, Tina and Henry Bazilewich; brother Charles Bazilewich (Shannon), nephew Nash Sydney Bazilewich; grandmothers Mary Woloshyn and Helen Bazilewich; aunties, uncles, and cousins. As per Tannis' wishes, cremation has taken place. This is so sad. I just found her last name in a very old address book I found (its been 30 years). I lived with Tannis in 1995. She was so sweet and so much fun! We had some crazy nights of laughing till we peed our pants. I have some very fond memories of her. RIP Tannis xoxo - Posted by: Stephanie Caron (Old roommates and close friends) on: May 05, 2025

Tannis, you were my best friend when we were just 15 or 16. I am so sorry that we lost touch as we got older. I am so heart broken to find that you are gone. I will always remember your bubbly laughter and have such fond memories of the week we spent in Grand Beach where your parents rented a cottage one summer in early 90s. You were always so kind and full of life, and I just loved when you played Pachelbel’s Cannon for me even though you didn’t love taking piano lessons. I hope you are at peace and I’m so sorry that I wasn’t there for you. - Posted by: Julie K (Friend) on: Dec 28, 2024

I met Tannis when we both worked at Superstore. We quickly became friends when she was going through a break-up at the time and I became a "big brother" to her and remembered what an awesome and beautiful girl she was. We had several fun outings whether it be on Corydon or at the club where she would rock her newest set of shoes. I lost contact with her shortly before planning a trip to California - especially it would have been her first time there and she always dreamt of going there. I was shocked to hear of her passing after thinking about her recently and finding out about it on a Google search. I will miss your spirit, your awesome smile and being your kindred big brother. Rest easy my awesome friend and thank you for coming into my life. - Posted by: Mark (Friend) on: Nov 17, 2018

I'm filled with sadness in finding out of your passing Tannis. I've looked for you over the many years since last running into you downtown. Countless Facebook searches when I should have just picked up the phone and called your mom. Today I thought I'd try a google serch. I'm speechless. Had thought of you often and imagined what an exciting life you must be living given how hard it was to find out from anyone how you were doing or what you were up to. It is sad punctuation to say people never get the roses well they can still smell them. I remember like it was yesterday how you loved dancing in thunder storms when you pulled me off my front steps to dance in one with you. The countless nights hanging out on the roof of seven oaks day care drinking discount beer staring at the stars listing to music. I've never passed a second cup and not thought of you. The countless hours spent watching Signfeld or the original Point Break. You were the Elaine to my Jerry the Tyler to my Bodhi. From junior high to adult education then our late 20's arrived and we moved apart. My mom still kept our 3 musketeer grad pick on her night stand till her passing. The pleasure was mine to have known a light that shown as bright as yours. I've only got the best memories of you and will always cherish them. Much love always pretty lady. My deepest sympathy to Henry, Tina, Charles and family. - Posted by: Matt (Friend/partner in crime) on: Mar 17, 2017

"Hi I'm Laurie, nice to meet you... ", "Hi I'm Tannis with 2 N's, nice to meet you to"!!! 😊 That is the exact words I remember when I met Tannis back when I was 18 at a (hem hem) booze can. We became close amazing friends for years, always having amazing laughs and good times together. She was my best friend, my shoulder to cry on when I needed someone. She had a heart of gold, a beautiful smile and a laugh that would brighten your day. It was slowly when her illness became very intense that I had started to loose contact with my bestie. I always tried to find her on FB with no success and always wondered how she might be and or where she might be. Once in a while she would call my parents place and leave her number so I could get in contact with her... But soon again I wouldn't know where she had went. So went on both our lives. Until yesterday when again I tried looking for her and didn't find her until I googled her, and then I found this. I am so deeply saddened and shocked. I am in disbelief that my old friend is gone. I loved this girl so much and will forever miss her I will always keep her close to my heart and remember all the fun and crazy things we did. I still have pictures, letters and gifts from her saved and forever I will cherish them. I love you Tan... I miss you more than I could say... Rest in peace babe, I wish I could have had just one more day, one more coffee... Just one more. - Posted by: Laurie Rosnow (Friend ) on: Oct 29, 2015
