EDNA BUSS Peacefully, Edna passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 after a brief illness. Edna was born in Whitemouth, MB on April 29, 1933. Edna will be sadly missed by her sons, Calvin (Wilma) and Curtis, her brothers, Gordon Brown (Maureen) and Ernie Brown, her grandchildren, Christopher (Christa), Alexander (Ali Kenyon), Michelle, Tayler, Hailey and Emily and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert, her son, Craig, her brother, Ken Brown, her sister, Eleanor Wickware, and her parents, Edith and Andrew Brown. Edna grew up in Whitemouth, MB where she graduated from high school. She then relocated to Winnipeg to attend the Winnipeg Business College and begin her career. In addition to being a loving wife and extraordinary mother, Edna was active in numerous leadership roles throughout her life. She was a faithful member of the McDermot Avenue Baptist Church for 60 years, at various times leading the Women's Ministry group, serving as the Secretary and serving on the Board. Edna's Christian faith was extremely important to her and something she actively practiced through her continual expressions of love and care to everyone who had the pleasure to know her. Her love for her family was limitless and her care, concern and support for everyone was without equal. She is sorely missed by her family and many friends. However together we are able to rejoice in a life well-lived, a kind and giving spirit and a faith in her savior Jesus Christ that was her foundation. A celebration of Edna's life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, 821 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses at HSC GD4 and CancerCare Manitoba for their professional and tender care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McDermot Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, www.mcdermotchurch.ca in Edna's memory. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
