Date of Passing: Jan 18, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANIE PRIMROSE JICKLING (nee WOOD) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janie Primrose Jickling on Sunday, January 18, 2015, with her family by her side, at the age of 88, at River Park Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Robert Jickling (Brenda), Donna (Robbin) Roussin; grandchildren Jackie Ataman (Rob), Christine Normand (Paul), Rebecca Roussin (Kent), Prin Roussin; great-grandchildren Michael, Stevie, Brittany, Jessica, Dakota; and great-great-grandchild Hunter. Janie was predeceased by her mother, father, son Daniel, daughter Nancy, husband James and granddaughter Amanda. Above all, Janie was a gardener. Whether she was tending to her family, her friends, or her flowers, she had the ability to encourage growth and blossoming in the most beautiful of ways. She was a great lover of beauty, and she created beauty everywhere she went. It was her gift to the world, and perhaps even more, it was her way to cope with the sadness of losing two of her children tragically at an early age. Her beautiful gardens were a reflection of the love she carried in her heart, and will leave cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved her. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Deep gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at River Park Gardens, where she lived her final years, and to her best friend Margaret Kelly. You all brought her such love through her last years, helped heal her heart and bring her peace. Mom was a great person to all that knew her she loved everyone. And leaves behind her lots of love that she gave to us. We will miss her all the time. We think about her when we see something that she has left behind then we will have a smile on our face. She is with a lot of people that were there to meet her and welcome her home with open arms and God who she loved so much, so rest in peace. We will meet again Mom. Love you from us both. - Posted by: Brenda jickling (Daughter Inlaw and Son ) on: Jan 23, 2015
