HAZEL (JUNE) DAVIDSON (NOBLE)
Date of Passing: Jan 18, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL (JUNE) DAVIDSON (nee NOBLE) In the early evening of January 18, 2015 our beloved mom, grammy and great-grammy passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Meadowood Manor. Mom was born June 1, 1930 in Compeer, Alberta to John and Isabella Noble. She was the fourth youngest of 14 children. June was predeceased by her parents, husband Gerry, sisters Isabella, Eileen, Barbara, Margaret and brothers Jack, Jim, Ivor, Ed, Dave and Bert. She is survived by her five children Kim (Pat), Bob (Christine), Bill (Shirley), Jim (Colleen), Leanne (Dave), 12 grandchildren Kelly (Jeff), Jeff (Jodie), Scott, Brandy (Bob), Blake, Jesse, Amanda, Stephen, Tim (Karli), Mike, Danny, Riley, Jason, Olivia and Jax, 12 great-grandchildren, Joren, Mazlyn, Stephanie, Brooke, Ella, Gemma, Madison, Gavin, David , Andrew (Michelle), Alex and Makayla and great-great-granddaughter Kacey. She is also survived by her brothers, Allan (Brenda), Ronald (Betty) and Gordon (Berle) Dad's sister Nita and many nieces and nephews. Mom met Dad in 1951 and they tied the knot on July 5, 1952. She was an amazing cook, best hamburger stew in town, and her roast beef dinner no one seems to be able to duplicate except her youngest, Leanne, who lived at home long enough to master her Mom's magic touch. She was an avid gardener with a special fondness for her rose garden. Mom loved to golf and some of her best times were spent on the golf course with her friend Margy. Her and Dad spent many a summer day at Brereton Lake with their dear friends Ken and Ruth and dogs, Jigger and Shannon, and also at Whytewold Beach with sister Barbara and brother-in-law Basil; better known to our family as AB and UB. Mom was very successful in her career retiring from the Manitoba Motor Vehicle Branch in 1993. Mom and Dad's home sometimes felt like grand central station where many of their children's friends congregated and all were welcome any time. Many a time there was someone extra at the dinner table and no one had to be asked twice to stay. Mom and Dad's door was always open with numerous friends and relatives living with them when in need of a loving home away from home. To honour Mom's wishes, no funeral will take place, however a private interment will be held at a later date. We would like to extend a warm thank-you to the special friends at Meadowood Manor who cared for our dear June Bug, you are appreciated beyond measure. In memory of Mom, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba. There is no doubt in our hearts that our Mom and Dad (Grammy and Papa) are dancing up a storm togethera sight that was magical to watch. Mom and I were saddened to hear of June's passing. We both remember many happy times at Brereton Lake, playing Scrabble, having a few cocktails. June was a good woman and we will miss her. Our condolences to the Davidson family. A donation in June's name has been made to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba. - Posted by: Ruth and Glenn Ankrom (Friends) on: Jan 27, 2015

June and Gerry Davidson and family have had a long standing friendship with my parents ... Aleck and Eileen Johnston. My parents are Leanne Davidson's godparents and my mom started babysitting Leanne full time basically from the day she was brought home from the hospital as a new born in 1966. She was the baby sister my two brothers and I never had. In our adult years I always enjoyed the visits to Jasper by Gerry and June and then after Gerry's passing by June and the other Davidson siblings and their families. Agatha and I tried to never miss a visit for lunch with June in Winnipeg on our visits there. Fond memories of a wonderfully kind and gentle woman. We are thinking about you during these difficult days. It's so hard to lose your mother but so easy to celebrate all she was to you. Auntie June was one of the kindest persons we have known. She and Uncle Buddy always made us feel so comfortable and her family is testament to their wonderful example. I am sure, wherever they are, the party is at June and Buddy's place. - Posted by: Gordon and Maxine Joyce (Nephew and nephew's wife) on: Jan 24, 2015
