Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Marian volunteered in the Payroll office with me for years filing all the hundreds and hundreds of paper timesheets. Marian took her Volunteer Position very seriously and always had a smile or something positive to say. I always thought she was quite an amazing woman and we sure got along great. I wish I had known her when she was younger as she must have been a spitfire of a woman. She had a great sense of humour, mentioned her husband Stan on many occassions and one could tell he was the love of her life. Marian you are now free of pain and at peace. I will miss you. My deepest sympathy to Marian's daughters and their families as well as friends. - Posted by: sharlene klymuik (co-worker) on: Jan 26, 2015

  • As one of many neighbourhood kids from Lonsdale or Sayer Avenue, our summers were made extra special by Mr and Mrs Cathchpole. One of my favourite memories of my childhood will always be hearing one of the neighbour kids yell "The flags up!!!", when Mr. Cathchpole put the flag in that special spot on the top of the garage door; their way of telling us all we were welcome to swim in their pool. They would sit in their gazebo together and watch us play for hours on end. Their generosity and kindness will never be forgotten. What a truly amazing couple they were! Our condolences to your family at this time. Your parents were wonderful people. - Posted by: Vicki Toews (neighbour) on: Jan 26, 2015

  • Marian worked with me as a volunteer in the Human Resources Department at the Grace Hospital for many years. She was always so cheerful and happy to be with us. She was a joy to have and we were sad when she chose to retire. She was a lovely lady. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Reghan (co-worker) on: Jan 26, 2015
