Bob was a dear friend, we met in the 70's. He was the godfather to two of our children. Bob was a big part of our families life. I remember him bringing his mom over for Christmas. I have lots of wonderful memories of the "bullet". Rest in peace Bob. - Posted by: Donna draper (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2015

Je suis désolée de lire le décès de Bob. Bob m'a aidé à pratiquer mon français. I'm sorry to read of the passing of Bob. Bob helped me practice my French. Even though he worked in English, he could still speak and understand French. I was like a fish trying to ride a bicycle. Bob was great. Bob grew up Francophone and straddled the generation of Franco-Manitobans who were born French but worked in English. With him passes a unique generation to whom respect is owed. Please accept my condolences. - Posted by: Sheri Oberman (acquaintance) on: Jan 25, 2015

Robert was our realtor for many years. He would sometimes show our Maric home to other people who were interested in purchasing a Maric home about the same size of ours. We went out for dinner with him a few years back. My husband Don says thanks for the good times riding motorcycles when they were both teenagers. Our deepest sympathy - Don and Adrienne Sul XLONKJ - Posted by: Don and Adrienne Sul (Robert was our realtor. He sold us our Maric home. As Bob's Broker for many years I was always impressed that Bob would never compromise his principles or ethics in any way in order to make a deal happen. He always took the high road. Bob was a friend to all of us at Sutton. Speaking for all of us I can say that Bob will be greatly missed. - Posted by: David Smith (Broker/Manager of Sutton Group-Kilkenny and friend) on: Jan 25, 2015

Initially I was Bob's client and he was my client in business but over the 20 years we became friends I will miss our talks. This is truly sad news. He was a first class agent who always looked after his clients needs. I know, as he looked after my daughter with their first home purchase over 7 Years ago and she still talks about Bob and how he made it easy in the purchase of their first home. My one regret is that I can not be in attendance at the funeral as I am out of country but I will continue to think of him on that day and always. - Posted by: Wayne Bilenky (Friend ) on: Jan 25, 2015

'The Bullet" was one of my mentors when I started in Real Estate in 1975. He always had time to help the new guy out. We had some great times together back then. Bob will be missed. - Posted by: Laurie Foster () on: Jan 24, 2015

I met Bob in 1973, introduced by Frank, a University of Manitoba friend. Bob showed me great kindness by referring me to colleagues as I began my financial planning practice. He continued to be a fine friend even after I moved to Vancouver in 1985, offering me accommodation at his home during a return trip to Winnipeg. Regrettably, I lost touch with him, as time and distance conspire to do. I'll visit Winnipeg this coming Spring, and planned to renew our friendship. Now that I cannot, I can - instead - remember him for his generosity, impeccable honesty and integrity. I am thankful to have had him in my life...a true friend. - Posted by: Larry Kunz (Friend) on: Jan 24, 2015

Working with Bob was indeed a pleasure, although sometimes trying. His sharp mind and over abundant energy challenged the best of us. Above all, he was a gentleman and an honest broker. I wish him eternal rest. - Posted by: Victor Epp (Former colleague) on: Jan 24, 2015
