ROBERT ALEXANDER KENNEDY It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Bob was predeceased by his mother Frankie, his father Raymond and his niece Amber. Bob is survived by his loving wife Janis, his daughter Kathy (Darrin), grandchildren Brady and Jordyn, son Andrew (Brittney), mother and father-in-law Elsie and Jack Mortham, brother and sister-in-law John and Fran Mortham and their children Katryna and John Jr., sisters Margaret (Irwin), Judy (Ray), nephew Ken, and nieces Christine and Tara. Bob spent 25 years working at Boeing, starting off in the shop and then moving on into the planning department where he met his soul mate. He then moved on to instructing at Red River College where he had spent the last nine years. Everywhere he went he touched so many people with his beautiful smile, his wit and his personality. Bob loved racing. He couldn't wait for every Friday in the summertime, to hop in the car with Janis and head to Grand Forks to watch the Sprint cars and spend the evenings around the campfire with the rest of our "Little Canada" family. That was where he was happiest. In the motorhome, at the race track, cleaning the dirt from the track out of his ears. His pride and joy though was his grandchildren. "Poppa" cherished every moment he had with them and would often spend most of his time with them rolling around on the couch tickling them and chasing them around the house. He will truly leave a very large void in our hearts but he has left us with so many special memories that we will cherish forever. I'd like to especially thank the EMT's, doctors and nurses in Grand Forks for all of their efforts as well as their compassion. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre at 3030 Notre Dame Ave. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 26331, STN BRM B, Toronto, ON, M7Y 4R1. We Love You! The Heart Always Remembers NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
