Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I don't even know where to start with how sad I am at hearing of the loss of one of my best friends moms. Words are not enough at a time like this, but unfortunately that's the only way to express how we feel! For Guy and Jen I can honestly say from my heart, that I do know how you feel and I know you understand when I say this! We had two of the greatest moms ever and they were both taken way too soon! Shirley will be missed very much and I know the two of 'em are up there watching over Guy and myself probably shaking their heads most of the time! Most sincere condolences from Darryl and Renee Langrell and family - Posted by: Darryl Langrell (family friend) on: Jan 28, 2015

  • So very sorry, deepest condolences Jen & Guy. Hugs. RIP Shirley. Your quick smile, easy laugh, your support when I was a child, as I grew into an adult, won't be forgotten. Hope you are enjoying a rum & coke on a deck right now. - Posted by: Treva (Friend ) on: Jan 28, 2015

  • Condolences to the family on the loss of a very special lady. She had an infectious smile, a huge heart, and not shy to put in a hard day's work and never complain. She was an integral part of me surviving my teenage years. Late night chats covering so many topics, usually with a cup of homemade Cocoa. Heaven has gained a very special angel, who will continue to watch over her family. - Posted by: Scott Hamblin () on: Jan 28, 2015

She was just the sweetest person who was always generous with kindness. She will be sorely missed by everyone whose life she touched. - Posted by: Hilori Thompson (Friend of the family) on: Jan 28, 2015

  • I miss my dear friend Shirley so much. Through thick & thin over the years we always seemed to connect on the same level even if we didn't talk often. Shirley was always kind, sensitive & caring. She loved her family with all of her being & her presence will be missed immensely. My thoughts & prayers go out to Carl, Jennifer, Guy, Judy & the rest of her family. - Posted by: June Francis (Friend) on: Jan 27, 2015

  • We were so saddened to hear about Shirley's passing. We knew Shirley when we all worked at Deer Lodge Hospital, before she was a "mother." She was always Miss Fun-times, and although we drifted apart with the arrival of our children, we did have an opportunity to visit Shirley and Carl at their cottage a few years ago. May all of your good memories give you strength at this time. - Posted by: Beegi and Phil Forbes (Friends from Deer Lodge Hospital/Centre) on: Jan 27, 2015

  • Remember the fun at Ponemah playing volleyball on the front yard of the cottage and making us welcome when Ray and I came to visit at the farm when you were married to Gerry Hamblin.
