KYLE ARTHUR PLEWS December 13, 1975 January 23, 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kyle. Kyle will be lovingly remembered by his parents Ken and Maureen (nee Scanlan), brother Ian (Amanda), sister Margot, uncles and aunts Barrie Plews, Beryle Plews, Rick and Sandi Scanlan and cousin Brent Scanlan (Marie-Eve). Kyle was predeceased by his grandparents Art and Irene Scanlan and Hazel Plews. Kyle was born in Winnipeg. He attended Beaverlodge Elementary, Charleswood Junior High, Shaftsbury High School and South Winnipeg Tec. Kyle loved spending his summers at the cottage in Ponemah. A celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Rev. Canon Jim Brown officiating. A reception will follow. • Dear Maureen, Ken, Ian and Margot and family. Last time I saw Maureen and Kyle together was at the Varsity View Bingo having a good bonding session a few years ago when I was back visiting in the Peg. Sending my deepest sympathy to you all at this sad time. What a great picture of Kyle and a lovely obit. I will call you, Maureen when I am next in Winnipeg. Take care. We go back a lot of years, since we went to Y neighbours together in the 70's. - Posted by: Darlene McRae Harris () on: Jan 30, 2015

  • Ken, Maureen and Family. I am sorry to hear about Kyle. He was such a thoughtful and kind individual. He always asked how my family and I were doing. Even though recently life has made us all so busy, I am glad we were still able to get together for the Bombers and Jets games, playing ball hockey, or just a coffee. Kyle and I called ourselves the KP connection. We have been friends since we were 13. From collecting comic books to helping me at work this last season, I have so many good memories about Kyle inbetween those years. He is and always will be one of my best friends. I miss you buddy. - Posted by: Kurtis & Jennifer Peterson (friend) on: Jan 30, 2015

  • I will always have fond memories back from High School of playing ball hockey, watching movies and hanging out in the evenings with Kyle. He was around the Ring house a lot in the 90's and I truly enjoyed his company. More recently the spongee games we played in the last few years. As it's been said on here, truly an original. A great friend that will be missed. My most sincere condolences go to the Plews family and Kyle's friends. TCB - Posted by: Jaret Ring (Friend) on: Jan 30, 2015

  • My sincere condolences on Kyle's passing. My most recent memory of Kyle was chatting about life around our firepit and later laying flat on the deck to watch the stars. It was one of those magical nights at the beach. Kyle was a kind and gentle soul, gone too soon. Regards, Kim Skromeda - Posted by: Kim Skromeda (beach neighbour) on: Jan 30, 2015

  • Kyle Plews was truly an original. I have so many fond memories of Kyle specifically in High School. He was a thoughtful friend who always made me laugh.
