I was looking through my old report cards recently and after some googling I came across Mme. Messler’s obituary. In the mid-1980s I moved to Winnipeg halfway through my grade two year and she was my teacher at Springfield Heights School for the remainder of the year. She had a warm presence and made me feel welcomed as a new student in her classroom. I recall her making me laugh on occasion by playfully asking if I stole her spaghetti noodles (a craft supply). I remember Mme. Messler quite fondly and I wanted to offer my condolences to her family. - Posted by: Ian (previous student) on: Nov 16, 2022

Mme. Messler was one of my favorite teachers when I attended Springfield Heights School. She was very kind and always there to help me understand something we were learning. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing, she will be missed. - Posted by: Christa Simard (Previous Student) on: Feb 04, 2015
