Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTED ALBERT HOWARDS 1941 - 2015 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our son, husband, and father at the Seven Oaks General Hospital on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Ted will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 48 years Gloria and his beloved children; son Tom (Sheila), daughter Jennifer, and mother Emily (Nana). He will also be lovingly remembered by his cousins Virginia Geisbrecht, Elaine Leitchman (Steve), Karen Hayny, and Edward Starsiak; sisters and brothers-in-law Lily, Phyllis (Emil), Iona, Bill (Olga), Larry (Dallas), and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family. Ted was predeceased by Grandmother Anna Hayny, uncles and aunts Henry (Mary) Valanta, and Emil (Sophy) Hayny, cousins Lil (Ron) Hill, and Emily (Dolly) Starsiak. Ted's career began at C.N.R. and he retired from Manitoba Hydro after 30 years of service. Ted loved the precious weekends with his family, at the cottage which he designed and built at Valhalla Beach, fishing, taking long walks along the beach, swimming, and having bonfires. There were many camping trips throughout Canada and the U.S. and recently a family trip to Hawaii that was truly enjoyed. Ted enjoyed watching car racing locally and in Grand Forks and Fargo with his son. He also enjoyed cheering his daughter on at all her sporting events and enjoyed their countless car rides and scenic route adventures. He was a devoted husband to Gloria and a wonderful, kind, and loving dad to his children. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Husarewycz for always being there for Ted and to the staff of 5U4 (Seven Oaks General Hospital). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, would be very much appreciated. "Always loved, never forgotten, and forever missed." With deepest sympathy to you Gloria, Tom and Jen. Ted was such a wonderful person and passed so too soon. His love of a joke which he always had to tell was so much a part of Ted, we will miss that and him and everything about him that is hard to express right now.
