ROBERT SHOFFNER
Date of Passing: Dec 16, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) SHOFFNER We sadly announce that on December 16, 2014 our Dad passed peacefully in his sleep. Dad was predeceased by our Mom (Bonnie) in 2006, his wife of 42 years, his mother, stepfather and grandmother as well as his sister-in-law Bernice and many other in-laws. He leaves behind his two daughters whom he loved dearly, Bambilyn and Bobbette (Aaron). He was a proud Grandpa to Bambi's son Owen, and Bobbette's son Cayson, born not long after his passing. Dad is also survived by his nephews Eddie and Jemal and their families, his friend Janet and many more family members across the United States. Dad was born and raised in Winona, WV and spent his teen years in Detroit, MI. He enlisted in the service and spent time in different countries and eventually met Bonnie, which brought him to Canada. Dad was an electrician and had a great passion for the IBEW Local 2085 where he enjoyed several years as President and he made many lifelong friends. Dad also had a great love for music and dancing and spent many years as a baseball umpire. Dad left this earth on his terms. We love you Dad and will hold our memories close. In accordance with Dad's wishes, there will not be a service. We will host a celebration of Dad's life at a later date. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Bambi and family, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I was sorry that I was not able to meet him as he sounded like an amazing role model, dad and grandfather. Just know that he will always be in your hearts forever. Embrace the memories that you will share with family and friends on Saturday. I'll be thinking of you. Lots of love - Debby, Chuck, Boo, Sandi, Will and Sadie - Posted by: Debby Hando (Friend) on: Feb 20, 2015

Bambi and Bobbette, so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Was reminiscing about Winnipeg north end friends and families and came upon your dad's obituary. Have very fond memories of your mom and dad living in Tyndall park and visits with the Tinniswood crew. Will always remember his smile and your mom's laugh....Thinking of both of you and your families. ~hugs~ - Posted by: Karen Nemetchek (Klyzub) () on: Feb 03, 2015
