Nothing but warm and wonderful memories of Pat (Schnib) and the Wheeler Clan. The Sun always shone in the late 70's early 80's on Riverside Drive. I always felt welcomed and well received whenever I was greeted by Glen's Mother, with her warm, kind smile and gracious manner. Needless to say, all of these fine characteristics that she unselfishly shared are present in all of the Wheeler's. Ward Clavet - Posted by: Ward Clavet (Family friend) on: Feb 16, 2015

My sincere condolences to you and your family Doug. Over the years thru both our love of boating our paths crossed and when I was at the RMYC both of you gave me every supoort. Pat's artistic talent was awesome and like most artists she was gentle and compassionate, and fun and her dry wit. RIP Bon Voyage Pat Marjorie Homenick - Posted by: Patrica Wheeler (Boating Friend) on: Feb 09, 2015

Pat was a kind, gracious Lady, neighbour and friend, and was always ready to have some fun. One year at our garage sale Pat tried on one of the hats for sale and she looked so Royal we named her ‘Queen Patricia of Willowlake Estates’. I will always treasure the picture I took of ‘Her Royal Highness’ posing in the hat. We were all proud of our resident Artist. Pat had a great imagination when it came to painting or turning a discarded item into a work of Art. Our Deepest Sympathy and condolences to Doug and the Wheeler Family. Our deepest sympathy to Doug and family on the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother. Pat was a lovely, thoughtful woman who will be dearly missed. My late parents, Pam and Dave Cormack, enjoyed a special friendship with Pat and Doug, always speaking so fondly of Pat and the fun times they shared at the Yacht Club and their boating holiday together in the British Virgin Islands. A kind and creative soul, anyone who met Pat was a better person for having known her. My condolences to Doug and his family. My father was a distant cousin to Mr. Highmoor and I had the pleasure of meeting Pat and Doug several times at her father's house. We contacted each other after Claude Highmoor (Mr. Highmoor's brother in Toronto) contacted my father in England. Pat was very kind to me and my sister and entertained us to a lovely tea at her father's house. - Posted by: Jean Highmoor (Distant cousin) on: Feb 05, 2015

Hi Doug, We are so shocked and saddened to see Pat's obituary. The words that come to mind about Pat are "what a fine lady". We enjoyed seeing both of you in Gimli on your boat and the great times we had with Pam and Dave and both of you at the Yacht Club. We hope the 3 of them are having a toast right now to the good times. Our hearts go out to you and your family and we wish you well. Take care. This past summer my mother and I stumbled on to a garage sale hosted by Pat and her husband. We immediately fell in love with her artwork, and were lucky enough to each purchase a few pieces each for our homes. Pat was a wonderful host and artist. When ended up staying and chatting for about half an hour about her life and her love of art. Pat was so lovely and personable and every time I look at her sketch hanging in my kitchen I think of her story. What a trailblazer! Even though we only met the once, very briefly, I make sure to tell her story to any one who comments on her sketch. Rest in Peace Pat. - Posted by: Natalie () on: Feb 04, 2015
