Date of Passing: Jan 29, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE CHRYPLYWY (nee HUTNIAK) The family wishes to express their deepest sorrow over the passing of Elsie Chryplywy, peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Elsie was predeceased by her beloved husband Steve; her parents Harry and Mary as well as her sister Anne and brother John. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her son Wes; his wife Anne and grandsons Steven and Michael; her daughter Cathy; husband Randy and grandchildren Jonathan, Andrew, Jennifer, David and Keith. Elsie was very proud to be a grandmother as well as a great-grandmother. Elsie was born in Brokenhead, MB on the family farm. She married Steve Chryplywy in 1952 and together they raised two children, Wes and Cathy. Mom was proud of her family. She enjoyed preparing wonderful homemade meals and most of the food was from her large garden which she worked hard to maintain. If something had to be planned or done, Mom was usually the first to take action. She had a strong work ethic and loved to keep busy. Mom enjoyed music and dancing in her younger years and could even play the harmonica. She would often lend a hand to those in need and was a good friend to many people. Mom was a longtime member of her church and was involved in the church activities. Her undying faith remained a comfort to her throughout her life. Special thanks to the staff of East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB for all of their excellent care and support to Mom. A heartfelt mention to Mom's sisters Teenie Gmiterek and Margaret Chorney for their unconditional love and loyalty. Mom has now joined her loving "Stevco" and together they are at peace. Prayers will be sung at Sobering Funeral Chapel on Friday evening, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated the following day, Saturday, February 7 at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Beausejour, MB at 10:30 a.m. Reception at Sunova Room in the Sun Gro Centre following the funeral service. Aunt Elsie will be so missed. I always enjoyed our phone calls and the last time we were out in Beausejour, Bill and I had such lovely visits with Aunt Elsie and she was just so proud of her children, grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. She had all the pictures on her wall and enjoyed talking about them. I just feel that now Aunt Elsie is up in heaven with the rest of the family that is up there and she can walk and rest in peace. I love you and will miss you Aunt Elsie. Love always - Posted by: Bill and Darlene Wilkie (Niece ) on: Feb 06, 2015

Our deepest condolence to Wes, Anne, Steven and Micheal and family. We never met your mother, Wes, however she raised a kind and compassionate and musical son so your mother must have been special. Vichnaya pamyat - Posted by: Joyce & Dennis Maksymetz (Friends of Wes & Anne) on: Feb 05, 2015
