ZELIA MARIA TAVARES It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved sister Zelia Maria Tavares on February 5, 2015. Zelia leaves to mourn her mother Maria Conceicao Tavares as well as her brothers Antonio Tavares, Joao Luis Tavares and sister Filomena Abraao; sisters-in-law Adrianna Tavares and Maria Tavares; brother-in-law Jose Abraao; numerous nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father Jose Luis Tavares. Zelia was born on September 23, 1962 on the island of Sao Miguel, Acores. She was always happy around her family especially her brother John who knew how to make her laugh. She was loved and will be missed. Prayers will be said on Monday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba. 204-586-8044

I remember all the times you and your grandma used to come over to our house on Young Street, you would love dad's jokes and you would laugh so hard you would be in tears.
