LINDA LOUISE STORRY (nee RECH) With heavy but loving hearts we announce the passing of Linda Storry, on January 31, 2015 at the age of 62 years. Linda was predeceased by her father - Stanley Rech, and her husband - William (Bill) Storry. She will be lovingly remembered by: her only son - Kevin Storry; mother - Irene Rech; brothers - Ken (Erin), Brian (Sheena); brothers and sisters-in-law - Robert (Annie), Sherley (Lou), Jim (Joyce), Jeff (Jackie), and many cousins, nieces/nephews, and FRIENDS. Linda was born on November 23, 1952 in Winnipeg where she lived all of her life. She married Bill Storry on August 16, 1975 and they spent many happy times at their cottage at Victoria Beach. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 1975, but wasn't able to pursue her teaching career, due to being diagnosed with MS, which she fought for over 40 years, most of those years from a wheelchair. Linda was a very patient and caring person to her family and friends. She enjoyed people and socializing with her many friends at Victoria Beach, developing many lifelong friendships there. She was proud of her only son Kevin, who now runs his own construction company, and which her late husband Bill, also enjoyed helping with on projects. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre, especially the S.I.C.U., as well as her home caregivers. A special thanks to Gail Ullberg for her friendship, care and compassion. Respecting Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will take place. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at Victoria Beach on Saturday, August 15, 2015 for her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

  • Since knowing Bill and Linda since 1972, I must say that Linda is the toughest lady I have and will ever know. She has left us not because of MS but because of a broken heart from the loss of Bill - she would never had admitted that though. God rest her soul as she joins Bill. Her memory will last forever. - Posted by: Chris Aldridge (friend) on: Feb 07, 2015
