NEIL IRWIN WHITNEY Born July 11, 1946 - Died February 6, 2015 Peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2015, Neil Whitney aged 68 years, beloved husband of Pat, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Neil is survived by his loving wife Pat; sons Garret and Corie (Leslie); grandchildren Sean, Abby, and Brenden. He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Mavis. Neil loved his family dearly but used to joke that all things came second to his real passion which was golf. In fact many lasting friendships and wonderful memories were made on those green fairways. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all relatives and friends for their love and support and also to the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Hospital Emergency and 6E wards. A traditional wake will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Club Oasis, 80 St. Pierre, St. Norbert, Manitoba. Private interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Salvation Army. Dear Pat and family, we are so very sorry to hear of Neil's passing. We have been in the south and just received the news. We remember Neil with great affection. He was a good man.
