My sincere condolences to Fraser and Ray's family. I was lucky enough to spend some time at the cottage when I was younger. My father Denis Stephenson always enjoyed talking to Ray about the adhesive business (he worked for a company that used adhesives). Again my best to the Ogston Family. - Posted by: Mark Stephenson (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2015

While employed with Swift Adhesives I had the opportunity of meeting him often. He became President of Canada - always encouraging and a good listener. I recall many of his stories - one being a caboose chaser while representing Swift in Northern Ontario and Western provinces. He was extremely fond of his family, especially Norma to whom he brought a coffee every morning. He will be missed. Cec Bechamp - Posted by: Cec & Aileen Bechamp (friend) on: Feb 13, 2015

My sincere condolences to Sandra, Jeanine, Donna, Fraser and families. I loved your Dad. He was so kind, loving, generous and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was smart and good looking. He loved his family and his beloved wife so much. He was so caring and thoughtful. He always had a kind word to me and made me laugh. He will live on in our wonderful memories and in our hearts. Your Dad and Mom are together now and will always be with you. He will be dearly missed. I hope you find some comfort in knowing how much your friends and family care. Ray Ogston, a true gentleman. Even though it was for a short time it was my pleasure to work under Ray back in the early 80's. Will always remember the smile, and his gentle manner. - Posted by: Rod Debenham (former employee) on: Feb 12, 2015

My condolences go out to each of Mr. Ogston`s loving family. My memories go far back to the 50's with the Mattson's and Ogston's at West Hawk Lake. He was always a gentleman who always said something nice. He would always tell me after my dad passed away how brilliant my dad was. I recall how he loved his wife, children and grandchildren as they also loved him. He was a successful man in every way. We also can't forget how handsome he was. The last time I had the pleasure of seeing him I gave him a hug at a party given by the late Mrs. Lovelace. He smiled and said I like hugs and hugged me back. What a legacy he leaves! I hope you find comfort and peace in the days ahead. God Bless, Lynne Cooper - Posted by: Lynne Cooper (friend) on: Feb 11, 2015

We 1st met Ray & Norma and his loving family over 35 yrs ago after he retired---we enjoyed many visits and solved many of the world problems as he always knew what political party would help CANADA PROGRESS----OUR LITTLE WORLD ONLY REVOLVED AROUND TRUE FRIENDS SUCH AS JOHN-PETER-AND SCOTTY--although he always welcomed many others to join our ''BOGUS BANK AN TRUST'' company. Our daily trips together to various coffee shops always were full of laughs and comments that only true friends can recall. He was always keeping us up-to-date on his son and family and his precious daughters and their loved ones. It was truly a very sad time when he had to say good bye to the love of his life ''Norma''. I'm sure we can all see him looking down with that funny smile and yes, twinkle in his eye. - Posted by: Elaine an Scotty McLaren (TO us he was a walking talking inspirational soul mate) on: Feb 10, 2015

Ray lived a life the rest of us should aspire to. Gentle in manner and kind, he made every lady feel special with his sincere comments on a new hairdo or clothing item. In retirement he was always available with his spotless dark red 'limo' for those in need of a ride. Although he was careful in voicing them, he selfdescribed his political opinions as being somewhere between Ghenghis Khan and Attila the Hun. Of course this would be delivered with a conspiratorical twinkle in the eye. I will miss him in both his roles in my life.........as a mentor and a friend. - Posted by: John Shantz (friend) on: Feb 10, 2015

To Jeanine, Sandra and family. Your Father was a wonderful person..and certainly lived a full life. My Memory of him today goes way back to the 70s. He was one of my favourite customers at the Toronto Dominion Bank on Henderson and Hazel Dell. He always came in smiling and always had something funny to say..I can still remember a few of the things he said. He was very Charismatic. I am very sorry for your Loss. Even at this sad time, no one can ever take away the wonderful memories we have in our hearts for our loved ones. May you find some strength in the fact that he lived a very full life, He had the Love of his family, he travelled the world, and many friends and family who stood by his side when he could not manage himself any longer, he knew he was Loved...and now he is back with his Beloved Wife Norma. May he Rest In Peace. My Condolences go out to all of your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. Bev Hansell - Posted by: Beverley Hansell (Friend) on: Feb 10, 2015
