I strongly second Brendyce's comments. Evi truly was an inspiring individual to our group at that time. He was also my 4-H woodworking instructor under whose tutelage I made a lamp which I have to this day. He always seemed to have time to provide a positive impact for youth. A reminiscing session with old pals always has an Evi story or two. He will be missd. - Posted by: Neil Shaw (Also a young Narol teenager whenEvi was the constable. ) on: Mar 14, 2015

Sorry to have read this today, "Uncle Carlson" and my Dad hung together many years ago, my brothers and I always called him Uncle Carlson, something we continued to do into our adult lives, a few years ago I seen him at Superstore and that's exactly how I addressed him, he laughed, probably thinking after all these years and that is what we call him :), there is still our Surname written in the stucco on our family garage which was so artistically put there by the gentle giant.. My brothers and I send our condolences to your families during this difficult time, Godspeed Uncle Carlson, With Love and Respect, Barry, Frank, Rodney, Bruce (Warenko) & Charlene Strand, Norman Strand's children. <3 xo - Posted by: Charlene Strand (Family friend) on: Feb 18, 2015

I have many fond memories of my big buddy. I can remember laughing so hard with him my eyes began watering. He had a great sense of humor & always had a good story to tell. Big Eddie was a great partner to have while we worked together as Correctional Officers. Everyone seemed to listen when Big Ed was around. Our sincere condolences & heartfelt sympathy go out to the Carlson family on the loss of this great man. RIP Big Ed...You will be missed. - Posted by: Al & Jan Necsefor (Friend & Co-worker) on: Feb 16, 2015

I fondly remember Evi as we all called him as teenagers, he was fair with all of us & would guide us in the right direction when we were getting out of hand. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Brendyce Sararas (nee Knysh) (Younger person he use to provide guidance to!) on: Feb 14, 2015
