Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I have always admired Kathy. As a child she tried, in vain, to teach me to draw a horse. She and her sister got the artistic talents in our family. In more recent years, after my having a stroke, Kathy came to my bedside to console me. I'll never forget her compassionate smile. To Ross and the kids, I send my deepest sympathies and love. - Posted by: Liz Mitchell (cousin) on: Feb 27, 2015

  • I met her on Hornby Island just one brief day but the pleasure of walking with her, talking to her is still floating in the air. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Isabella Humphrey Ventura (second cousin) on: Feb 27, 2015

  • Dear Ross and family, I am so sorry; Kathy truly was beautiful; to be in her presence was a gift, to have a conversation with her was inspiring whether it was about spiritual beliefs and teachings, gardening, her art, her soups, her studio, the yard, the way in which you made labyrinth like paths in the snow Ross . . . To be in the presence of both of you was to witness a deep love and respect for each other. To the children and grandkids - Kathy spoke of all of you often; she was a mindful parent; so aware and perceptive with a heart filled with love. My thoughts go to a poem by S. Merwin - Separation . . . "Your absence has gone through me like thread through a needle. Everything I do is stitched with its color." In time . . . may memories bring comfort. - Posted by: Lucille Meisner (Friend) on: Feb 14, 2015
