Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I met Mike in Corrections training in 2005. Although he didn't stay with the career he became a close friend and I joined his hockey team that same year as I was new to Winnipeg and didn't know anyone. Mike and I remained friends and had many good bad and crazy times together. Just 1 month before his passing we spent New Years together. Its always hard to look back and at the time not realize that was the last moment I would see you bud. This February will be 2 years since you passed. I think about you often (and joke about you often) and will always miss you. - Posted by: Mark Grennan (Friend) on: Dec 01, 2016

  • Alana, just got back from holidays and heard the terrible news. Life isn't supposed to go like this. My deepest sympathy for you & your family for this very difficult time. - Posted by: Joe Cuscito & Family (Friend) on: Mar 01, 2015

  • I was greatly saddened to hear yet another schoolmate leaving us too soon...we weren't the closest but what impact he had on me makes it even more painful. Love you bud! May you rest in Power...May you family find strength in these trying times. - Posted by: Vernis Blair (school friend ) on: Feb 22, 2015

  • Mike was a great guy and a pleasure to work with, we would spend long hours chatting at the YRC. As I later found out he was also very close to another friend of mine who also only had great things to say about him. We all hung out one night and had a great time. My condolences to his wife, daughters and family. He will be missed for his humor and ability to make others laugh. - Posted by: Erin Ivory (co-worker/friend) on: Feb 17, 2015

  • Alana and family - so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. Your children are not supposed to go before the parents. Our deepest sympathies to you during this very difficult time. - Posted by: Dianne Sidorchuk (Cousin) on: Feb 16, 2015

  • I will always remember how kind Mike was. Playing board games with him when he would visit on Valhalla Drive when we were kids. Later going to high school together he was always sweet and kind. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. - Posted by: Kerry Wilson (Kalmakoff) (Friend) on: Feb 16, 2015

  • I went to high school with Mike. I also have a child who goes to Riverbend School where his girls go. I saw him in January and we joked about him taking over the hot lunch program after my daughter leaves the school. I'm so sorry for everyone whose saddened by this loss. He was always a kind, funny guy who I will remember fondly. He forced me to go see Titanic with him when it first came out way back in the day. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. Prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time. - Posted by: Chassity McIntyre (Friend ) on: Feb 15, 2015
