HILDA (HIEBERT) REMPEL Hilda (Hiebert) Rempel, passed away peacefully at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home on February 14, 2015 at the age of 87 years. She will be deeply missed by her five children: Shirley Griffioen (Rob), Marilyn Hamm (Willi), Henry J. Rempel (Lori), Kathleen Rempel Boschman (Don) and Jeff Rempel (Lydia); grandchildren Lee (Alex), Rachel (Andrew), Anders (Sarah), Michaela, Marcus, Christian (Christina), Gillian, Luke, Jamila, Jordan, Meagan, Lisa and Michael; and four great-grandchildren Claire, Hugo, Zachary and William. Mom was born in Morden, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 10. At age 22, she married her beloved Henry. Sadly he passed away just 13 years later. We are grateful to God for the courage, ability and joy He gave our mother in raising our family. Mom enjoyed teaching for 24 years. We are exceedingly grateful to the staff of Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home who treated our mother with compassion and care over the last six months of her life. Memorial Service will take place at River East Mennonite Brethren Church, 755 McLeod Ave., at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with luncheon to follow. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, Memorial Fund or the Mennonite Central Committee.
