Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRIS RUSNAK August 8, 1931- February 17, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Iris, at the age of 83 at Poseidon Care Centre. Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, she grew up on the farm. She married Bill Rusnak in 1949 and they settled in Winnipeg in 1952. Mom dedicated her life to raising her children. In 1963 she started to work as a Health Care Aid, finishing her career as a factory worker in 1980. After retirement she doted on her family and was famous for her perogies and cabbage rolls. As everyone knows, they were the best. Her family was her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, in 2006, her granddaughter, Kaye Sarah, in 1974, as well as three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her adored sister Sophie and loving brother Michael. Left to mourn her passing are her sons Barry, Glenn (Anne) and Dale (Kathy), daughter Connie (Jean Champagne), ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Poseidon for their love, care and compassion. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 22, at 7:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. A funeral service celebrating Mom's life will be held Monday, February 23, 2:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6. Glenn and family. I am sorry to heAr that your dear mom has passed away. I remember your mom looking so well groomed as I am sure she never missed her hair salon appointments that you would take her to. She must have felt blessed to be so loved and cared for by you and the rest of your family. I am sure you will miss her. My sincere condolences.
