GORDON KENNETH REED Quietly, Gordon Kenneth Reed age 72 years passed away at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital with family by his side on Monday, February 16, 2015. Gord leaves his wife Lena, son Donnie (Sabrena), daughter Debbie (Brad); grandchildren, Riley, Cameron, Mhea, Avery and Conner. Sister Diane (Terry), niece Lauren, nephew and godson Paul. Along with many extended family from Stead, Yorkton, Roblin and Winnipeg. Gord was born in Winnipeg, but his love for the outdoors took him to Teulon, where he farmed all his life. Even in ill health, he tried to help as much as he could. After many years of dairy farming, Gord began working at Charison's Turkey Hatchery where many friendships were made, not only at the Hatchery but also at the coffee shop. Gord cherished his time with his grandchildren. He was very proud to teach Riley and Cameron to thread a line on a fishing rod or fillet a fish, to teach Mhea and Avery to play Monopoly or just have some "farm talk" with Conner. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for the outstanding care Gord received and to the many who gave heartfelt wishes and calls of deep concern for him during his illness. A special thank you to Christine and Frank Chrusch, Barb and Gene Becker, Kelvin Wasylenchuk, Monica Trach, Gwen Kostiuk, Marianne Tom and Jodi McGill for all your support. We are grateful to the doctors who cared for Gord; Dr. Loudon, Dr. Pillay, Dr. Gill, Dr. S.V Patel; Julie and Tanis from the Gimli Chemo Unit, and Cancer Care MB. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital.
