JOHN ALFRED BUNN Hole in the White Cloud (Wapshkoo Baa-gon-ikon) March 27, 1936 - February 20, 2015 On Friday morning our Dad received his peace and freedom from the pain and sadness that had plagued him in the last few years of his earthly life. He now rejoins in the Spirit World his beloved wife Virginie; his parents Alexander and Florence Bunn; his siblings Frank, Marie, Myrtle and Amelia; his brothers in-law Rev. Andrew Sinclair, William Prince, Tom Cameron and Charles Sinclair; sisters in-law Marie, Madeline and Annie Bunn; and many other dear family members. Left to mourn his passing are his children Jeffrey, Peter (Margaret), Sandra, Erick (Liz), Robert (Angela), and Percy; his stepchildren Valerie (Frank), Orton, Faron, Rennie, Myrna, and Sheila; his brothers Roderick, and Joseph (Laura); his sisters Christina, Mary Jane, and Verna; and grandchildren dear to his heart Ricky, Anita, Adrian, Tyler, and Jeremy. Dad was a gentle, hard-working man with a few things in his life that he felt passionate about driving around in his different trucks, Virg's good cooking, his love for his grandchildren, and their dog Ikwe. Dad had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a few great great grandchildren. He worked at different jobs throughout his life but mostly as a pulp-cutter for Abitibi (later Tembec). He retired from there with 35 years of service. Together with Virg they contributed to the community in various ways visiting the elderly, singing at many wakes, and helping people when they could. Dad was a resident at the George M. Guimond Care Centre at the time of his death. We would like to thank the staff at the care home and the home care staff of the Health Centre for taking care of him. Wake service will be at his home at House #64 North Shore Road. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Alexander Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow.
