Condolences & Memories (18 entries)

  • Grew up in Charleswood and knew Bob through school, about cars etc. Whenever I ran into him he was always the same, smiling, happy and fun to visit with and catch up with. To Terry, Sandy and family we have lost a good person who provided us all with some great memories. Cleo Hutmacher - Posted by: cleo (red) hutmacher (friebd) on: Mar 16, 2015

  • I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's death. I first met him as a kid, when he moved in two doors from us on Chalfont Rd. We all skated on the frozen ditches in the winter, floated on rafts in the ditches in the summer. I ran into him once in a while throughout the years. I will always remember his smile. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Lynne Frankard Hebert - Posted by: Lynne Frankard Hebert (Chalfont St. neighbour) on: Mar 07, 2015

  • We always considered Bob the World's Best Neighbour. He really made the neighbourhood feel like a neighbourhood, bringing together many of us over the years. We will miss him very much and were saddened when we heard the news while visiting kids in Calgary. Sandy and Katie...our hearts are with you. - Posted by: Ron Parkinson (next door neighbour) on: Mar 03, 2015

  • Sandy/Kadie we are so sorry for your loss. Bob loved you ever so much and told us often in his special way. The world was always a brighter place when Bob was around. From his quirky sense of humor we always enjoyed his off kiltered view of the world which was always guaranteed to make you laugh. Bob could dish it out as well as he could take the ribbing. Bob could be counted on to help and always made time for family and friends. I can only imagine how large his circle of influence was. But I do know that while you could count on Bob, the only thing that couldn't count on Bob was his cars. He did loved them all, the present one much more than the last car but somehow there was always another one waiting in the shadows to be a part of Bob's life. You will be missed my friend, but we'll remember you with the similar fond memory we have for our first car. I'd like to ask Bob to take care of our dream car as most everyone has one and I couldn't think of a better person to do this. Thanks Bob. Our condolences go out to Bob's entire family, near and far. We met some of you at least once at one of the frequent back yard barbecues Bob was always having. Our prayers are with you in your time of sorrow and need. - Posted by: Sharon & Stephen (Friends who also happen to be car people too) on: Feb 23, 2015
