REINHOLD WADIEN It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Reinhold Wadien. Reinhold was a beloved husband of Betty, father to Betty-Anne (Richard), Della, Tim (Cheryl), Rebbie (Gilles). He will be also lovingly remembered and missed by his sisters Alma and Hilda, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a visiting friend with his extended family always. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany on April 15, 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1952 where he worked throughout his life as a chef from Ontario to British Columbia. He enjoyed his garden in summer with his many rose bushes, tulips, sweet peas and many more flowers. His hard work along with his wife would be enjoyed by many neighbours for blocks around. He was well known around the neighbourhood as one who cared about the environment. He was very much a cat lover and loved and received so much joy from them. The Service will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Private Family Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Public Viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the service and luncheon. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Ray was like a father figure, I enjoy the quality time when playing board games or taking him to the store or doing different kinds of errands for him and Betty, it made me happy to see Ray happy by just doing what I could for him, and to his loving family, thank you, I now know what it means to have someone so great that loves you so much as a family member. Your friend forever, Frank Fortin. - Posted by: Frank Fortin (friend) on: Feb 27, 2015

  • It will be of no surprise that stories we will share about Uncle Ray will mention what fun he was, What a nice man he was, How he cared after others and how he loved to be mischievous. That man loved to make others laugh and the ever present twinkle in his eye was contagious. He was a generous gentle loving soul and he will be very much missed. - Posted by: Perry McGregor (Nephew) on: Feb 27, 2015
