Dad served during the Second World War in Europe where he met and married his life partner, Ann. Returning from the service, Dad purchased the Stonewall Freight business and operated it for almost 30 years. Family was of utmost importance to Dad. His house was always open to all who needed a home. In their later years, Mom and Dad did all their tasks together. Never tiring of each other's company and relying on each other to make things work. He was very proud of his membership in the Royal Canadian Legion. This year would have been his 70th consecutive year. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anglican Church of the Ascension in Stonewall, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to CancerCare or to the Anglican Church in Stonewall.
